National Swimming Championship.
Alina Paracha, Dania Ashraf, Soha Sanjrani & Zainab Shoaib of CJM participated in the 13th Junior National Women’s Swimming Championship organized by the Pakistan Women’s Swimming Association, teams included were Sindh, Army, Punjab, Islamabad, Navy and Wapda. The Women’s Junior Age Group is an important annual event and is the nursery from which young girl swimmers are selected and groomed for international events.
The events, in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, individual medley, freestyle relay and medley relay, were held in four age groups 10 and under, 11 to 12, 13 to 14 and 15 to 16. The championship is being conducted according to the rules of the International Swimming Federation (FINA). Alina Paracha student of class 5, secured the highest medals by winning 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze. Dania Ashraf of class 9 secured 3 Gold & 2 Bronze. Soha Sanjrani a member of Pakistan Army’s Team & student of class 8 brought home 1 Gold & 5 Bronze. Zainab Shoaib of class 10 got 2 Silver Medals.
The Principal appreciated the performance of CJM girls and encouraged other students to take part in this healthy sports.
