OPEN DAY at the Junior School - March 21st 2013

OPEN DAY at the Junior School - March 21st 2013
“OPEN  DAY”  at the Junior School
March 21st was a “red letter day” at the Junior School, Convent of Jesus and Mary, Clifton.    Throughout the year, all hands were busy, planning, painting, colouring, designing and re-arranging.
On March 20th the activity, the excitement, the joy, had to be seen to be believed.  The end result was indeed gratifying as the classrooms had given over to the display of the work of their respective classes.  Each class had chosen a special theme and represented it very satisfactorily indeed.  The variety and merging of colour was breath – taking.
All was arranged without too much disorder and anticipation was palpable as doors were locked to await the BIG DAY. The opening ceremony at 7.30 a.m. on the 21st was short so that parents, anxious to visit the Exhibition before reporting for work, could be accommodated.   There was a steady flow of parents and other guests throughout the morning and it was impossible to gauge whether the parents or the students were more delighted and proud.    The wealth of talent so obvious in each class and the efficiency with which this talent is developed by the devoted teachers gives valid reason for pride and hope.
A” comment book”, recording the appreciation of the parents, remains as a source of encouragement to teachers and students of the future.
